Southeastern Utah Weekly UDOT Construction Update

Despite last week’s thunderstorms and rainy weather, according to the Utah Department of Transportation, local road construction projects have not been significantly affected. The following is a summary of the UDOT construction projects happening in Southeastern Utah:

Carbon County

S.R.10, South Price to Stake Farm Road
Contract: Nielson Construction
Amount: $1,840,710
Location: South of Price
Impact: Single lane traffic during evening hours.
Activity: * Pouring culvert headwalls * Cutting asphalt * Building subgrade

Emery County

S.R. 10, Huntington Main Street
Contract: Geneva Rock Products
Amount: $745,506
Location: Huntington Main Street
Impact: Access modifications.
Activity: * Begin construction of pedestrian sidewalk ramps on corners * Setup traffic control

U.S. 6, Milepost 272 To Woodside
Contract: Nielson Construction
Amount: $3,869,924
Location: 22 Miles north of Green River
Impact: Minor impacts to traffic.
Activity: * Painting Friday, July 8th * Grinding rumblestrips * Pouring guardrail pads * Installing erosion control

Grand County

I-70, Yellowcat to West Cisco
Contract: Geneva Rock
Amount: $2,255,629
Location: East of Thompson Springs Welcome Center
Impact: Single lane closures in both directions.
Activity: Sealing pavement

Sevier County

I-70, Wide Hollow To Fremont Junction
Contract: Nielson Construction
Amount: $4,534,747
Location: Salina Canyon, Mileposts 83 to 89
Impact: Single lane closure in each direction.
Activity: Rotomilling
