Continuing the same scoring pattern as in last Thursday’s match against Richfield, the Spartans would face a 1-1 tie at the end of the first half in Friday’s game against Juab hosted on March 11.
The wasps, however, couldn’t stop the Spartans from finding the net again in the second half and securing the 2-1 victory, marking the second victory of the season.
Emery High, however, eventually found their match on Tuesday as they traveled to Grand County High School to battle the Red Devils.
Spartans Ashton Dieli and Guzman Egea Aguado contributed to the 2-2 tie that ended the second half and pushed the match into overtime. Emery, though, couldn’t keep up their winning action and lost the nail-biter after Grand’s goal that ended the match with a final of 3-2.
Thursday will find the Spartans facing off against the Manti Templars at home as they try to secure their next victory.
