The Emery High Boys’ soccer team was able to find the net only once during its trip to Gunnison Valley High School on Thursday.
Spartan Ashton Dieli, a junior, landed the team’s sole goal in the first half, which ended in a 2-1 final score, favoring the Bulldogs. In the following half, Emery’s defense couldn’t stop the opposing team from scoring again, leading to the overall 3-1 loss for the Spartans.
The Spartans will look to their final region match for their next victory, which will take place on Friday, April 29 at North Sevier High School. The last face off against the Spartans and Wolves ended with a huge 6-1 victory for Emery.
