Having already clinch a playoff spot in the 2A tournament, the Emery Spartans finished the regular season losing at North Sevier Tuesday, 73-69.
The Wolfs’ Dakota Shepherd led all scorers with 27 points. Emery’s Dawson Jensen and Dallon Cologie dropped in 16 points apiece.
Emery narrowly missed a comeback after falling behind 34-20 at halftime.
The Wolves and the Spartans will both participate in the 2A playoffs which start Friday at Snow College.
Emery will face off against Millard at 8 p.m. The Spartans cruised to aВ 68-59В win over the Eagles December 9. With a win, Emery would play the winner out of South Summit and North Sevier February 23 at 2:30 p.m. at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield.
The Spartans finish the regular season at 10-10 and 4-4 in Region 15 play.
