With their season on the line and after a big win over Providence Hall earlier in the day, the Emery Spartans squared off against Enterprise in the one-loss bracket, winning the game 11-8. The game featured a combined 31 hits, 14 from Emery.

Emery scored eight of its 11 runs in the final two innings to earn the hard-fought win, including five in the sixth to take the lead it would never relinquish.

Logan Labrum went 3-4 in the game with three singles and two RBIs. Four other Spartans had two hits apiece. Jordan Baletka, Tel Gardner, and Koda Alton each had two RBIs as well.

Race Nielsen went 5 1/3 on the mound, allowing five runs on 11 hits. Gardner spelled Nielsen in the sixth and allowed three runs on six hits while striking out four.

Emery will take on Kanab at 11 a.m. Friday morning in the one-loss bracket for a chance to play at 7 p.m that night. The Spartans will need three consecutive wins spanning Friday and Saturday to earn a chance to play for the 2A Championship.
