The Emery Spartans suffered a 3-2 loss to region foe Gunnison to cap off region play on Friday.
Tyeray Migliori led the offense for the Spartans, notching both of the team’s goals in the second half of play. Gunnison connected with the net once in the first and twice in the second to slip by Emery for the win.
The loss puts Emery in the fourth slot in Region 2A Central with a 4-6 record. The Spartans will now travel to take on Region 2A West champion American Leadership Academy on April 29. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. at ALA in Spanish Fork.
