The Emery Spartans kept their Region 15 record unblemished after a 24-4 dismantling of the San Juan Brocos Tuesday in Blanding.
In two games this season, Emery has outscored San Juan 37-4. The Spartans had 21 hits in the game. Emery led 22-0 entering the fifth inning. Dillon Wilstead got the win for Emery, going all five innings for his team-leading fifth win (5-0).
The 21 hits by the Spartans were second best on the season. They bashed 22 hits in a March 24 contest with Wasatch Academy. Emery has eclipsed the 20-hit mark four times this season. The Spartans scored eight and seven runs in the second and fourth innings, respectively.
Emery (15-4, 10-0 Region 15) will host Monticello (0-12, 0-8 Region 15) on Friday before concluding its regular season Tuesday against second place North Sevier (12-8, 8-2 Region 15) in Salina.
