The Emery High Spartans kicked off homecoming week 2012 in grand fashion Tuesday evening, and so did the faculty.
The Lady Spartans ran their record to 4-0 on the young volleyball season, defeating Gunnison three sets to one in front a raucous crowd at the Spartan Center. Emery won games one and two and then four to wrap up the match. The JV and Sophomore squads also won their respective matches.
Following the Spartan victory, EHS faculty took the floor in the annual Beefcake Volleyball match wich pits faculty against students. First, the senior boys beat the juniors. Then the faculty dispensed the sophomores boys. In the end, the faculty made is seven-straight Beefcake titles, upending the senior boys in the final match of the night.
The Lady Spartans will next host Payson Thursday.
