BEAR Press Release

The speaker at the general board meeting of Castle Country Business Expansion and Retention on April 25 will be Michael D. Roberts, one of the principals in the Wellington Microtech project.

Roberts attended Brigham Young University where he received a degree in music, an MBA and a law degree. Admitted to the Utah State Bar in 1996, Roberts worked as an associate and then partner with a small real estate litigation and transactional firm in Salt Lake City for 10 years. Roberts was the founder and owner of Beehive Title Insurance Agency, L.C., which closed several thousand title and escrow transactions over a 12-year period. In 2009, Roberts formed a private equity firm for the purpose of acquiring and resolving distressed commercial loans. During that same year, he also began acquiring and developing energy-related commercial projects in rural Utah, which now includes the DC Express Pipeline and Wellington Microtech.

The meeting will take place at the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center in the Alumni Room on the USU Eastern campus at 8 a.m. It will last about one hour. Light refreshments will be served.
