Students from schools throughout Emery County met at Emery High on Wednesday to compete in the annual district spelling bee. Top competitors from each school in the county gathered for the spell-off and the chance to be crowned victor.
The winners from the spelling bee are as follows:
First place – Tiana Jensen, 7th Grade, Canyon View Jr. High
Second place – Robbie Maughn III, 5th Grade, Bookcliff Elementary
Third place – Jess Christiansen, 4th Grade, Ferron Elementary
Jensen will next compete in the region spelling bee in Green River on March 4.
