Riata Christiansen was chosen as the Future Farmers of America State President at the state convention on the campus of SUU on Saturday. She, along with three other young women and two young men, will be leading the activities for the state organization for the year 2018-19 year.
“It is the opportunity of a lifetime,” Christiansen said.
Also at the convention, Emery’s Parliamentary Procedure team captured third place honors. Team members were Jaycee Bennett, Josie Gilbert, Jessica Fox, Dani Jo Thatcher, Shaylee Grange, Korby Christiansen and Riata Christiansen. State FFA degree recipients were Thomas Behling, Amanda Johansen, Preslee Bringhurst and Riata Christiansen.
