Stilson’s 30 Points Help Emery Hand Measer Prep First Loss of the Season*Photo Gallery*

Kyson Stilson scored a career high 30 points to lead the Emery Spartans past Maeser Prep Friday night, 96-53.

It was the second game in a row that the Spartans nailed at least 17 three-pointers. Emery connected on 18 threes against Carbon last Wednesday. Stilson went 5-5 from beyond the arc, 12-16 overall from the floor, to lead Emery. Cade Brazier hit six more en route to 20 points. Tyler Butler connected on four of his own, chipping in 19 points. Kyler Wilstead hit the other two threes in the game.

Besides his 30 points, Stilson grabbed nine rebounds, dished out seven assists and finished with five steals.

Emery hurried out to an early lead and led at the half, 51-18.

Emery (4-2, 0-0 Region 15) will host South Summit (5-1, 0-0 Region 13) on Friday.
