It was a typical Tuesday night at Gateway Lanes in Helper until a bowling team, Full Nelson, started filling up the frames. Tuesday nights are typically reserved for the Elmer Hamilton Men’s Bowling League, and Dec. 7 was no different.
The biggest distinction was the level of play by Full Nelson, who was singing for joy after its excellent night at the lanes. The team’s scratch total was 3,264 pins while the team handicap total was 3,339.
Full Nelson is comprised of five individuals, namely Dylan Olson, Anthony Manzanares, Ricky Sandoval, Tyler Nelson and Aric Nelson. Over the series, Olson shot a 688, A. Nelson a 684, T. Nelson a 671, Manzanares a 623 and Sandoval a 598.
