Jeridi Price started the season strong for the Lady Spartans Tuesday, giving up just one run in a 7-1 victory against the Dinos.В The game was both team’s season opener.
Emery and Carbon each had six hits in the game dominated by high winds. Price only walked one batter.
Though the season is only one game old, Spartan Senior JolynnВ Jennings said the team is ready to take region with a team full of dedicated players.
“I am really excited for this year,” she said. “Not only is the team a blast to be around, but it’s really good this year.”
The Spartans don’t have time to rest with their next game today against 3A Delta. The Dinos will have today off before traveling to Washington to play Pine View on Thursday.
