Students and Community Members Perform in USU Wind Symphony Event *Video and Image Gallery*

The USU Eastern Music Department presented a wind symphony concert Saturday evening. Those in attendance enjoyed an evening of music under the direction of Rhonda Rhodes.

The symphony played several selections and also featured numerous performers from local schools. A percussion duet by Mont Harmon Junior High students Dallin Grant and Noah Parker was featured at the concert, along with a piano solo by Shauntel Sitterud from Emery High and a marimba solo by Carbon High student Jordan Nielsen.

The following wind symphony members performed at Saturday’s event:

Flute: Angela Anderson, Heidi Hill (piccolo), Kellie Mortensen, Laura Ross and Katrina Wood

Clarinet: Aaron Anderson, Sarah Cowley, Adam Cunningham, Joyce Cunningham, Kay Fox and Elise Tuttle

Bass Clarinet: Frances Swasey

Bassoon: Jay Jeppson

Alto Saxophone: Clint Roberts

Tenor Saxophone: Benjamin Nichols

Trumpet: Willie Frisbie, Tana Jenson, Bob Peterson and Shawn Shearer

Horn: Mark Bunnell, James Dart and Matthew Krause.

Trombone: Bethany Brinton, Steven Cloward, Chelsey Cunningham and Danielle Dinkleman

Euphonium: Richard Dart

Tuba: Shantel Sitterud

Percussion: Dallas Anselmo, Kaden Archibald, Jana Hoyt, Jordan Nielsen, Arthella Wiliams and Arianne Wood

USU Eastern students and community members make up the wind symphony. All wind and percussion players are encouraged to join the group that performs traditional and contemporary wind band music. Rehearsals are conducted on Wednesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. at the Brown Music Center on the USU Eastern campus.
