On Wednesday, fifth grade students gathered to watch their peers from each of the three fifth grade classes compete in the fourth annual Constitution Bee sponsored by the Price Lions Club.

Leonard Miller and Bill Engle distributed copies of the Constitution to the students prior to the competition. Three students from each of the three fifth grade classes competed against one another as they were asked several questions regarding the Constitution.

The Lions Club donated $150 to award the top three contestants in the competition.

Josie Thayne from Mrs. Black’s class finished in first place with Jordan Madsen from Mrs. Daniel’s class taking second. Harley Olsen from Mrs. Anderson’s class came in third.

The other six students that competed were Kelsea Nef, Jack Anderson, Dakotah Atwood, Elena Vigil, Riley Callahan and Mollie Horsley.
