The Castle Country Regional History Day was hosted on Monday at the Carbon County Event Center in Price.

The day began bright and early with an exhibit set up in the main hall, followed by a judges’ meeting. For the first round of exhibit judging, no students were permitted.

The paper, website, performance and documentary judging was by appointment, as was the second round of exhibit judging, where the students were given a chance to sum up their exhibit.

A public viewing of the exhibits followed the judges and volunteer luncheon promptly at noon. Due to conflicts regarding the History Day Fair date, an awards ceremony was opted out of for this year. Instead, a full list of winners may be found below.

Those that won the regional portion will now continue on to the State History Day Fair, which is hosted at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center in West Valley and is slated to take place on April 26.

Sponsors for this event were Carbon High School, Carbon School District, Carbon County and Utah National History Day.
