Summer is here! Children and teens are always looking for fun activities, and the Price City Library has implemented a few summer reading programs to help ensure the enjoyment, education and safety of the youth of the area. Listed below are some of the programs being offered.
PAWS: This event is one-on-one reading with a trained therapy animal. Nancy Bentley with Active Re-Entry will be largely participating in this program and it will run from June 14 through July 26. There will be a big party on August 9 to bid farewell to the event. The times for PAWS are 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
PreK-3: This program began on the 5th of June and will last until August 2. The theme is “Build a Better World” and subsequently materials used will be in conjunction with the stories and activities. The times for this particular event will be Mondays and Wednesdays at 11 a.m., Tuesdays at 5 p.m. and Thursdays at 1 p.m. Reading charts will be implemented to earn incentives.
4-9 Grade: For this age group, the reading program began on June 9 and will run through August 3. Show up on Thursdays at 3 p.m. for a different, fun activity each time. If your children and teens turn in their book reviews they will be given an incentive and also be entered to win a drawing at the end of the year.
