Sutherlands of Price was named business of the month by the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce on Thursday. Store manager Wayne Clausing received the honor at the chamber’s March luncheon.

“Most of all, thank you to my great and amazing customers. Without you, I would not exist,” Clausing said following a recent Business After Hours event hosted at Sutherlands by the chamber. “You all mean the world to me. I’m the richest man in the state, not because of money, but because of you. I am so grateful for your business.”

Sutherlands customers can now enjoy a new paint and tool department at the store, including an impressive line of DEWALT power tools. The store is also gearing up for spring, preparing for impressive shipments of flowers, trees and more.

Rob Powell and Russel Goodrich from USU Eastern then took the podium to discuss entrepreneurship with chamber members. The duo teaches a full course on the topic at the university.

“Entrepreneurship is a new way of looking at the world,” Goodrich said. “Entrepreneurship is a new way of solving problems.”

Powell focused on a growth mindset in his presentation, explaining that true entrepreneurs are always looking for ways to grow and expand in their field.

The chamber will continue its work in the community with another Business After Hours event on April 13. The event will be hosted at Peczuh Printing at 355 East 100 South in Price from 5:30-7:30 p.m. See below for more information.
