Taci Tapia competed in the Utah Girls’ High School State Championship Tournament in mid-February. The tournament included girls from schools in any classification statewide.
Tapia represented Carbon High and Castle Country well by placing third in the 130 weight class behind winner Mia May (West High) and runner-up Ashtyn Lowe (Maple Mountain). She defeated Saibyn Newell from Kearns High in the third place match by virtue of a pin.
