Three Area Woman Take the Stage at Miss Utah Competition

Miss Emery, Miss Carbon and Miss USU Eastern took to the Miss Utah stage last week to compete in the annual scholarship organization’s pageant.

Miss Carbon County Madison Burrola, Emery County’s Maegan Butterfield and USU Eastern’s Alexandria Burrola each took part in a series of events, which included a shoe parade, talent competition, evening gown display and more.

Madison’s talent featured a lyrical dance to “Rise Up” by Andra Day while Butterfield performed a contemporary jazz dance to “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now” by Celine Dion. Alexandria presented a piano solo to “River Flows in You” by Yieuma.

The trio also presented their platforms, which included “Mission ImPossible: Choose Your Future” by Madison and “Have Courage and Be Kind: Color Our World With Kindness” by Butterfield. Alexandria’s platform was “The Key To Unlocking The Future.”

The competition concluded with the crowning of the new Miss Utah, JessiKate Riley, from Beaver.
