At approximately 12:09 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, the stretch of Highway SR-6 near milepost 238 fell victim to a storm surge that had wind, rain and hail. This storm surge then resulted in three separate crashes that occurred near each other in that area.

Sgt. Todd Royce with Utah Highway Patrol stated that two of the crashes were property damage crashes and that the third resulted in head injuries to a female. However, these injuries are not fatal.

As always, drivers are urged to proceed with caution in stormy weather.
