Friends and Family of Katie Hansen Barnum are hosting a benefit dinner Monday evening at the Community Center (Old Firehouse) in Orangeville. Katie was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma. She is the mother of three young boys, married to Dustan Barnum and a resident of Orangeville.
The barbecue dinner will feature hamburgers, salads and melons. The dinner will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Prices are $7.00 per person or $30.00 for a family. During the dinner there will be a silent auction with many wonderful items for participants to bid on.
The community and state have been overwhelmingly gracious and donated so many amazing items for the silent acution such as: wooden porch swings, a water fowl hunting trip with 2 night’s lodging and $100.00 dinner gift certificate, handmade jewelry, a king size royal blue and white star quilt, wooden decorative wind mill, a tri-colored mini Aussie puppy, one hour plane ride over Emery County, a ton of hay, a wooden decorative sign, a photo session, an oil change, a half of pork, Scentsy candle warmer, and many more useful and fun things.
Lauren Mills will have her snow cone business there with all sales during that time going to Katie. Also at the dinner will be a drawing for the winner of the online raffle, awarding a $500.00 Sportsman Warehouse gift certificate, 100 lbs. of ground beef, a queen size quilt or a western twin quilt or wall hanging.
