Turnovers and missed free throws plagued the Carbon Dinos in their 60-46 loss to Stansbury Wednesday night. The loss puts Carbon at 1-6 on the season.
The Dinos got to within four points, 37-33, in the fourth quarter on a jumper by Garrett Blanc, but the Stallions capitalized on far too many Carbon turnovers and clutch three-point shooting to cruise to the win.
Coach Jeff Cisneros was frustrated with the performance of his players.
“I told them that you play like you practice and this game shows that,” he explained. “We had two bad practices this week. I can’t find much in the way of highlights from a game like this.”
Carbon (1-6, 0-0 Region 12) will have six days off before welcoming Uintah (2-1, 0-0 Region 10) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The game can be seen live on ETV Channel 10.
