Much needed rain has been falling around Carbon and Emery counties this week, some of which caused a headache for travelers in and through Helper Thursday afternoon.
A heavy storm caused minor flooding on Highway 6 at round 3 p.m. near Waste and Water Logistics, LLC that caused UDOT crews to scrape mud and debris off the road. Cars were seen traveling through the area at about 15-20 mph in the 55 mph zone.
Additionally, the nearby Price River was running considerably higher and faster as rainwater found its way into the water system.
