Press Release

In our world the consumption, conservation and generation of electricity is constantly being addressed. Local company Tram Electric continually strives to make a positive impact to customers and communities, that is why they are passionate about participating in the Green Motor Initiative.

The Green Motor Practices Group (GMPG) is a non-profit organization that identifies, promotes and verifies only excellent motor service centers. These companies are committed to consistently producing repair/rewinds that retain or improve reliability and efficiency and provide in-house and on-site motor driven systems assistance. In 2008, GMPG kicked off the Green Motor Initiative in an effort to reduce energy consumption across North America. When an electric motor is performing inefficiently, it consumes more energy. Companies like Tram Electric restore (rewind) these motors to their originally manufactured efficiency values. This increases performance and integrity while cutting the amount of energy consumed by the motor.

Among all participating service centers across North America, Tram Electric was the high-volume leader in 2017 and 2018, and ranked #2 in 2019. The official results of 2020 are in, and Tram Electric is once again the high-volume leader, with more energy saved across the United States and Canada, than any other company!

Electricity is all around us and the demand for it continues to grow. It is comforting to learn about initiatives like this that focus on efficiency and conservation of energy. It is empowering to know that across North America, a local company is leading the charge and energizing us all to move forward.
