As part of the annual Miss Utah Outstanding Teen state competition, local competitors Shelbee Murdoch and Mikelle Monson are gearing up for the two-day event. The competition will take place Friday and Saturday at the Covey Center for the Arts in Provo.
Representing Carbon County is Mikelle Monson with the platform of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD). Monson will perform a dance as her talent at the competition.
Shelbee Murdoch, representing Emery County, will present her Kids Can Go Clubbing platform as well as perform a jazz dance for her talent.
