UDOT Seeks Public Comment on Statewide Rural Long-Range Transportation Plan

Comments due Aug. 26 on 30 year plan.  .

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is currently developing its Statewide Rural Long-Range Transportation Plan to forecast transportation needs in rural communities for the next 30 years. UDOT has identified an initial list of projects and is asking for public input through Aug. 26.

The general public is invited and encouraged to review the plan and provide comments as needed. A link to the project comment map can be found at www.udot.utah.gov/go/region4.

Following the public comment period, UDOT will review the input, consider the comments and may make adjustments to the project list. Following that, a draft plan will be prepared and a final 30-day public comment period will ensue. Following the final 30-day public comment period, UDOT will review the input, make adjustments and finalize the project list. The final project list will be part of the recommended UDOT Statewide Rural Long-Range Transportation Plan, which will be completed by late fall 2019.

Transportation needs for urban areas are planned by the Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO) within Utah: the Cache Valley MPO, the Wasatch Front Regional Council, the Mountainland Association of Governments and the Dixie MPO.
