Newly elected Utah Friends of Paleontology Chapter President Ralph Escamilla led a meeting Monday that focused on making summer plans for the organization.

The organization hopes to make trips to new museum openings in both Salt Lake City and Vernal.

The Prehistoric Museum in Price will host a Family Activity Day on Saturday. The event will include live fossil prep, a question-and-answer segment and a tepee.

UFOP will suspend organized meetings through the summer. Meetings will resume in September.
