With a subtle change in its name, Bicyclewerks reopened recently with new ownership but still super Fuzzy.

Fuzzy, the previous owner, still runs the day-to-day operations of the store while local residents Bill and Kathy Knott act as new owners. The store reopened about three weeks ago. The former Bicycleworks dropped the “o” and added an “e” in the store’s new name Bicyclewerks.

The store still offers the same great service but instead of custom ordering items, most are already in stock. Bicyclewerks also sponsors many local rides and helps to build and maintain trail work on many of the 30 miles of trails above Price. Fuzzy has been heavily involved in these trails for the last 10 years.

Fuzzy leads rides every Wednesday. The ride begins at Pioneer Park at 4:45 and then commences at Luke’s Trail at 5.

“It’s to get people out,” he said. “I mean it’s only Wednesday which is only halfway through the week and you always feel good after a bike ride.”

Fuzzy is also working on two new trails that are located by the Carbon County Country Club and the Book Cliffs with an estimated completion date in the spring.

“Everybody needs to ride,” he quipped. “Gas sucks, computer games and fast food are bad for you so ride your bike.”

Bicyclewerks is located at 82 North 100 West in Price. Their new phone number is 637-7676.
