The office of United Way of Eastern Utah was abuzz with happy news on Tuesday morning as the organization received a generous donation from Castle Country Radio.
This donation is courtesy of the highly successful and anticipated annual pie auction that is broadcast over the radio. The pies are donated by various entities such as government, businesses and other individuals. These pies are then auctioned to the community.
Along with the pies, donations in the form of merchandise, gift certificates and the like are auctioned. A total amount of $12,392 was raised for the 2017 auction. A check for the amount of $1,500 was donated to United Way’s Live.Love.Local campaign and received by Cheryl Thayn, the organization’s executive director.
