Carbon County Star Parties would love to have everyone come to our solar, star and eclipse parties.
We provide several telescopes for the public, students and scouts to look through, free of charge. Solar party telescopes are covered with a special solar filter to allow you to safely see the sun and possibly some sun spots.
If you have a telescope but are not sure how to use it, bring it with you and we can set it up for you and show you how to properly use it. If you have one and never use it, please donate it to us so we always have plenty of telescopes so people don’t have to wait in long lines to view these awesome celestial objects.
