A single-car accident yesterday at approximately 2 p.m. ended with a complete loss of a 2016 Ford Fusion, according to information from the Utah Highway Patrol.

After barely having the vehicle’s oil changed, a 29-year-old male driver noticed smoke coming from his dashboard and pulled over at the intersection. The driver was able to exit the vehicle with no injuries before the car erupted in flames.

No collision was involved in the incident and no one was injured. The exact cause of the problem is unknown, though a problem with the vehicle’s engine is a probable cause.
