USU Eastern And 4-H Provide Study Opportunity

Five 4-H Club members from around the country are visiting the Castle Valley on a paleontology trip this week.

The trip will include visits to The Museum of the San Rafael in Castle Dale, the Suarez Dinosaur Quarry site and a drive through The Swell to the crystal geyser near Green River.

The group will also get to practice the excavation process on actual dinosaur bones at a dig site, something that is rare for young students.

John Bird is leading the expedition.

The trip was put together through the combined efforts of 4-H and Utah State University – College of Eastern Utah.
