USU Eastern Announces Co-Head Volleyball Coaches

Utah State University-College of Eastern Utah announces the appointment of Grant Barraclough and Chelsey Warburton as co-head coaches for the upcoming 2011 volleyball season.

Coach Barraclough was appointed as the interim head coach last year, replacing Coach Brent Martindale who left to coach at Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona. He was an assistant coach for the USU Eastern team for six seasons. He played volleyball at Woods Cross high school and at the University of Utah.

Coach Barraclough is a graduate of the CEU Nursing program and is a full-time employee of Castleview Hospital in Price.

Coach Warburton served this past year as the assistant volleyball coach. She played volleyball, basketball and softball at Carbon High School, graduating in 2003. Chelsey was recognized as an All-State player in both basketball and volleyball.

Coach Warburton played basketball at USU Eastern in 2003, Weber State University 2004-2007 where she led the nation in three point field goals made per game during her senior year. She graduated in Criminal Justice from WSU in 2007 and then played one year of professional basketball in Amsterdam in 2009.

Coach Warburton will share head coaching duties with coach Barraclough for the 2011-2012 season.
