USU Eastern’s 13th annual Bread вЂN Soup Night to benefit the Carbon County Food Bank will begin Monday, November 7 and continue В consecutive Mondays until Thanksgiving (November 7, 14 and 21). В USU Eastern student, Amanda Van Wagoner, a native of Mapleton, and SUN Center student in charge of the event notes that “because of the way the holidays fall this year, we are only able to offer three nights of Bread вЂN Soup.” В She especially encourages attendees to mark their calendars and “come out early” so as not to miss any of the fun.
Eastern Utah’s Dining Service staff, under the direction of Becky Archibald, volunteers its time each Monday to create three delicious soups, including one vegetarian offering (and several which are gluten free and vegan) with rolls and butter.   Van Wagoner notes that attendees should look forward to some of their favorites like chicken noodle and cream of potato on the menu again this year.
Last year, USU Eastern’s Bread вЂN Soup Night donated a record high $5,000 to the Carbon County Food Bank, making a grand total over its 12 years of existence to more than $28,000.
