USU Eastern Hosts Technology Competition

The competition took place on Friday in the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center.

The competition included competitors from Moab, Price, and Green River. The four competitors presented products that they designed such as phone applications and computer programs. The competitors had a 15 minute time limit followed by 10 minutes of questioning by three judges.

The winner of the event was Andrew Inglethorn from Moab. His product known as Parks Connect is a mobile application that connects the user to national parks throughout Utah with valuable facts, pictures, and other information about parks. Inglethorn won a cash prize to use directly for the advancement of his product which will soon be released in the Apple Store.
