In an effort to help two local youth battling with leukemia, USU Eastern Cosmetology will host a special fundraiser, “Let’s Nail Cancer!” Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 8-9.
Hoping to help the families of Tait Levanger from Carbon County and Kaylee Taylor from Emery, the cosmetology is offering the two-day event where proceeds from several of their services offered will help benefit both children.
All funds from the event will be split evenly between the two families, according to the event’s Facebook page.
Minimum donations of $5, $10 and $15 are established for manicures, pedicures and gel nails, respectively.
The event is the first of its kind for the department, and hopes remain high that it will be a success and offer relief to the families.
