USU Eastern Sweeps Colorado Northwestern in Three


The USU Eastern volleyball team easily beat Colorado Northwestern Community College on Saturday after three sets. The Golden Eagles finished the home competition 25-11, 26-24, 25-18.

USU Eastern came out strong in the first, easily defeating the Colorado team 25-11. Despite a rally by the opponents in the second, the Eagles secured a 26-24 win for the set. USU Eastern finished the game easily with a 25-18 final set.

Whitney Riffle ended the game with 11 kills followed by Melissa Judd with nine. Mckenzie Burrows had 25 assists on Saturday and Judd had 16 digs.

USU Eastern will host Salt Lake Community College on Friday. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
