USU Eastern is play host to an annual internship and job fair in April.
The fair has taken place in the Jennifer Leavitt Center for the past few years now and will once again occur in that area of the college. It is presented by the Department of Workforce Services.
Some simple tips to help a job fair be successful are to dress as if you were preparing for an interview, be ready for interview questions and, if possible, have copies of your resume with you. Arrive at the job fair mentally prepared to speak directly to a company’s hiring managers; they are the selecting officials. However, there are often times that some of the people who represent employers at the fair may be professional recruiters that do not make the final hiring decisions.
The fair is free and open to USU Eastern students as well as any member of the community. This year’s fair will happen on Tuesday, April 12 beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 2 p.m.
The Jennifer Leavitt Center is located at 451 East 400 North in Price.
