The Utah State University Eastern women’s soccer team got their offense going early and didn’t look back against Colorado Northwestern Community College on Saturday. Just two days before the official start of fall in the northern hemisphere and with the weather in Colorado beginning to cool off, the Lady Eagles’ offense was red hot, leading by a score of 5-0 at the break and then finishing the game with six more goals, bringing the finishing score to 11-0.

First half goals were scored by Brooke Stoker (unassisted) and Ashley Brindley (assisted by Stoker). Evalyn Ledezma was assisted by Sadie Utley and Racquell Whatcott scored an unassisted goal. Claire Boman was assisted by Brindley.

Second half goals were scored by Shealee Heywood (unassisted) and Lillian Hepler (assisted by Utley). Morgan Haag scored an unassisted goal while Tasha Kamachi was assisted by Haag. Morgan Cragun also scored off an assist by Haag. Sydney Terwilleger rounded out the scoring day for the Eagles, getting the assist from Boman.

USU Eastern averaged a goal roughly every eight minutes in the contest. After the first three conference games were on the road, the Eagles return home to face off against the College of Southern Nevada on Sept. 26 and against Snow College on Sept. 28. Both games are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. on Durrant Field just north of the USU Eastern campus.
