USUE Press Release

The photography of nine Utah State University Eastern students will be displayed on the second floor of Price City Hall for the next three months. Contributing photographers for the exhibit will be honored at a reception from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6 in the city hall.

The students, all taking an introduction to photography class from Jason Huntzinger, spent fall semester photographing the Helper Riverwalk, Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry, Scofield and Huntington Canyon to create the background of their final projects.

“I was impressed with the quality of work this semester,” Huntzinger said. “It is above and beyond what I’d expect from an introduction photography class.”

“The subject matter of the exhibit varies, but the images selected hold together well as a group,” he continued. “It is a great opportunity for the students to have a chance to show their work in public for the first time. We followed the artistic process all the way through from idea, to photo shoot, to critiquing and then selecting, printing and preparing the photos for presentation.”

The student photographers include Inez Johnson, Fallon Silversmith, Amanda Crowther, Vanessa Dimick, Blake Guptill, Ryan Piccolo, Jacob McCourt, Jacob Bagley and Nick Harris. Price City Hall is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to view the exhibit.
