Utah Foster Care’s annual holiday party was hosted on Dec. 12 in Price as local foster parents and all those in their care were treated to a hearty meal and early Christmas gifts.
The annual party has been a tradition for the community of foster care in both Carbon and Emery counties for over 20 years. It also included local Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) staff members.
“We are so thankful for the Eastern Community Credit Union staff for providing and serving dinner to these deserving families who are providing homes for local children in foster care,” stated Kobi Prettyman, Lead Foster-Adoptive Consultant for Utah Foster Care. “Kiwanis and USU Eastern also helped donate and organize a fun night of bingo, prizes, gifts and Santa.”
Individuals that may be interested in fostering a child are invited to the free Ask a Foster Parent Night that is being hosted on Monday, Jan. 13 at the Utah Foster Care offices. The offices are located at 475 West Price River Drive, #152 in Price.
