UTAH-NOTICE OF INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE
IN COAL EXPLORATION PROGRAM

Emery County Coal Resources Inc., is inviting all qualified parties to participate in its proposed exploration of certain Federal coal deposits in the following described lands in Emery County, Utah:

T. 16 S., R. 14 E.,

    sec. 25, S1/2;

    sec. 26, SEI/4 and SW1/4NE1/4;

    sec. 35, NEl/4.

T. 16 S., R. 15 E.,

    sec. 30, lots 3 and 4, and El/2SWl/4;

    sec. 31.

T. 17 S., R. 14 E.,

    sec. I, lots I thru 3, lots 6 thru 8, S1/2NEl/4, SE1/4NW1/4, 

   El/2SW1/4 and SEI/4;

   sec. 12, NEl/4, El/2NWl/4, NE1/4SWI/4, and Nl/2SEl/4;

   T. 17 S., R. 15 E.,

   sec. 5, lots 3 and 4, S1/2NWl/4 and SWI/4;

   secs. 6 and 7;

   sec. 8, Wl/2.

The areas described contains 4,231.40 acres, according to the official plats of the surveys of the said lands, on file with the BLM.

Any party electing to participate in this exploration program must send written notice of such election to the Bureau of Land Management, Utah State Office, Attention: Solid Minerals, 440 West 200 South, Suite 500, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84101 and to Emery County Coal Resources Inc., Attention: Karin Madsen, Environmental Engineer, c/o Lila Canyon Mine, PO Box 910, East Carbon, Utah 84520. Such written notice must be received within thirty days after publication of this notice in the Federal Register.

Any party wishing to participate in this exploration program must be qualified to hold a lease under the provisions of 43 CFR 3472.1 and must share all cost on a pro rata basis.

An exploration plan submitted by Emery County Coal Resources Inc., detailing the scope and timing of this exploration program is available for public review on Tuesday and Thursday’s during nonnal business hours in the public room of the BLM, Utah State Office, 440 West 200

South, Suite 500, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84101, under serial number UTU-95445.
