Press Release

The Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant provides matching grant funding to local governments and nonprofits to build outdoor recreation infrastructure such as trails, boat ramps and more. In the 2019 grant cycle, award amounts will range from $5,000 to $150,000. This competitive grant is a unique funding opportunity for Utah communities. Whether your area has an infrastructure project that is ready to go or you are laying the groundwork for a future project, you should plan to attend this workshop. What you learn here will improve your chances of an award in the 2019 funding round.

The OOR team will walk you through the process step-by-step, helping you create a compelling project submission. In addition, partnering organizations will join us to present on other grant opportunities available to communities including Utah State Parks, which administers the Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grant and a representative from the National Park Services’ River Trails and Conservation Assistance program (RTCA). RTCA oversees a grant to help get outdoor recreation plans off the ground. Don’t miss this opportunity!

Registration for this FREE workshop is required. Materials and light snacks will be provided.

The Helper workshop will be held on Oct. 18 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Helper Auditorium, located at 19 S. Main Street. To register, please click here.
