Helper, Utah’s Christmas Town, kicked off a week of events Friday night with a lights on ceremony. The event marks the beginning of the Christmas Town Festival which concludes with the annual electric light parade.

The lights on ceremony began with an opening prayer at the Rio Theatre. Those in attendance then walked to the stage located on Helper Main street. Here, Helper Mayor Ed Chavez addressed the crowd and the Sally Mauro Singers performed.

With a flip of a switch, Helper Main Street became illuminated with thousands of Christmas lights. Santa made an appearance and visited with children at the Helper Auditorium.

See the flyer below for a list of this week’s Christmas events.
