Trucks, cars, mini vans and more drove onto the fairgrounds property on Saturday evening, but many of them did not successfully drive back off.
These vehicles were a part of the 2019 Carbon County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Demolition Derby. The derby, hosted annually, is yet another fun event available to those that peruse the Carbon County Fair each year and all funds raised benefit the county’s search and rescue team throughout the year.
Many vehicles signed up this year, with a myriad of daring participants behind the wheel, including Carbon County Sheriff Jeff Wood. Sheriff Wood joins in on the fun each year and is typically well-targeted.
Family, friends and other various spectators filled the stands to witness the crashing, banging, smoke and overall fun.
