After nearly seven hours of service loss for Verizon customers in the local area, service was restored just after 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Repairs to a fiber cut in Utah brought service back to local customers.
“The Verizon service in our area is currently disrupted by a fiber cut in the Salt Lake City area where the backhaul circuits are handed off to Verizon,” said Dave Holzer from Emery Telcom early Tuesday.
The outage affected customers in both Carbon and Emery counties.
