Price City’s Main Street played host to a special walk on Sunday morning as local veterans from all five branches of the military proudly made their way from 1st East to 3rd East. This event, hosted by the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled Veterans of America, Utah National Guard and Elks’ Lodge, was deemed the Veterans Day of Recognition.

Following the walk, family, friends and members of the community gathered at the Price City Peace Gardens for a Veterans Day ceremony. Presented by David Jelin, Commander of Post 3 of the American Legion, a number of veterans from different branches of the military took time to speak on the importance of the holiday and thank those in attendance.

A prayer, moment of silence and Honor Guard rifle volley all took place at the event as well. Following the initial presentation at the Peace Gardens, the ceremony was also hosted at participating senior centers in the area.
