The Lady Dinos tennis team traveled for the last time this season on Friday to Manti for region.
The Dinos fought hard opponents, but walked away with only two victories. Gabby Wall, first singles varsity, beat Canyon View 6-3, 6-0 and then lost to North Sanpete 2-6, 4-6 and Richfield 1-6, 3-6.
Jewelianna Nielsen, varsity second singles, beat Canyon View in a three hour match, 7-6, 6-1, 6-3. Nielsen then lost to North Sanpete, 4-6, 4-6.
Both Walls and Nielsen received fourth place and will compete at the state tournament hosted at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City on Thursday and Friday.
Tayle Wlikinson, third singles varsity, lost to Canyon View 0-6, 0-6 and North Sanpete 0-6, 0-6. Mersedez Clifford and Inez Johnson, first doubles, lost to Canyon View 2-6, 0-6 and Juab 1-6, 0-6. Alheli Pendleton and Katrina Ewards fell to Canyon View 3-6, 0-6 and Juab 0-6, 1-6.
